Sosúa, a must-see city, is located in the Dominican northern coast; it is 25 km away from Puerto Plata, and a couple km away from Cabarete and Gregorio Luperón International Airport. This northern city is one of the most visited places in the Dominican Republic due to its privileged location, incredible beaches, and hotel resorts.
Here, you will enjoy the best beaches of the northern coast: Alicia Beach, a beautiful and peaceful one, and the popular and bustling Sosúa Beach, which is located in Sosúa Bay.

Sosúa Bay attracts many water sports enthusiast, including snorkelers and divers because of its sheltered, calm waters, diverse species of fish and intricate reef structures.

Diving is the biggest attraction because the region has some important diving spots, like Airport Wall, full of submarine walls and tunnels; Zingara Wreck, a spectacular sunken vessel; Coral Gardens and Coral Wall, which are beautiful coral reefs. It is possible to go on a trip from Arena Cay to Río San Juan, or from El Choco National Park to Monkey Jungle National Park.

Mirador Park is located in the city Centre; it is a beautiful place to go for a walk while discovering its landscapes and local history. This park has several Jewish symbols in tribute to those who run away from the Nazi persecution.

The visit to the Sanctuary of the Humpback Whales in Samana is one of the most beautiful excursions in the Dominican Republic, the beautiful Samana Bay and the Silver Bank, located in the Northwest of the country, where every year, between December And March, about 2,000 humpback whales come to reproduce in the warm waters of the Atlantic Ocean. It is only 2,5 hours drive to Samana “ Whale Watching”  from December 15 to March 30 of every year.

The well-known Jewish Community Museum is located near a synagogue, and it will show you the history of 700 Jewish colonists, who were welcome between 1939 and 1945 as Second World War refugees. These Jews escaped from the Nazi persecution and settled down in this area, they boosted a strong dairy and meat industry and left an important, deep cultural impact in the city.

Sosúa is famous for its cuisine. There are several restaurants in the city, where you can taste the best traditional Dominican food.
